La Valencia in La Jolla, San Diego

This is where I had my dinner the other night after Extraordinary Dessert.
La Valencia,
Located in the center of La Jolla Village,
Hotel/restaurant.
The whole place is filled with Spanish-Mediterranean atmosphere.
The "Mediterranean Room," is where I had my romantic dinner.
Well, not so romantic with whole bunch of people,
But I love having romantic dinner with my lovely friends.

Paella Valencia-

Prawns, chicken, clams, mussels, scallops, and spicy sausage with saffron rice.
I think I had all the seafood in my dish that night.
The portion is good, however, I think the saffron rice didn't deliver the flavor as I expected.

Grilled Fillet Mignon-

I think the one at Morton's is better. More tender and Juicier. I'm getting pickier..not a good sign.

Here's the corner of the restaurant, I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the ocean view-

Overall Rating: 6.5

The view is nice, the food is...not as I expected.

Ps. So hard to categorized this restaurant, so I put it under "Italian."
